My Collection Of BDSM Collars & Chokers (Their Meanings and How I Use Them)

Sex collars have a much deeper meaning than some people know. They aren’t always for decorative purposes, in fact, they hold quite a lot of meaning to people interested in the BDSM world and when you see someone with a collar it can mean a whole range of things. I use collars in my dungeon (I am a professional dominatrix, I should have cleared that up sooner!) and for each individual client I use them on, they can mean something different to them and to me.

What Collars/Chokers Mean To Me

I find by wearing a collar that I place on you signifies trust, submission and a bond between two people. I find this especially important with my clients who enjoy painful punishments, torture play, and more hardcore BDSM activities. Some people give their submissive a collar to signify a relationship, much like a wedding ring. My collars don’t mean a relationship but they do signify trust and a whole lot of it.

Some of the time when I place a collar on someone in my dungeon it is because this client wants to roleplay with puppy play, specifically in my case as a dominatrix they are naughty puppies. Puppy play or animal play gets a whole lot more fun when a collar is involved as it really amplifies the dynamic between you two and allows for superiority and obedience.

Wearing a collar gives the leash holder more control, allows them to direct your head and movements in a certain way and gives the leash holder power over the submissive. It can be used in a sense of erotic humiliation play, ownership, vulnerability, during fantasies and animalistic play, there are so many ways you can use a collar and that is just a few of the ways I use them.

You can wear your collar outside of my dungeon, this means you are committed to me and want the world to see it. Your collar can be small and dainty or big and proud and used as a subtle fashion accessory. Wearing the collar in public is a constant reminder of the dynamic and as a commitment of your submissiveness to me. Other doms out in the public world will know instantly that you are a little taken slave and that you are proud enough to wear that badge in public.

Types Of BDSM Collars I Use

Because I have lots of different clients who enjoy wearing the collar in my dungeon I have a whole host of different collars that I own, I even have a few that I wear myself.
Here are just four of the most popular styles of collar that I use:

Training collar – A training collar is for a submissive that wants to be subtly reminded of their place, it doesn’t indicate ownership but it does mean control and I use this type of collar the most on my clients. I think they come in a great variety and it allows for a great leash adhesion.

Collar of ownership – An ownership collar is the last step, it’s a collar that is worn much like a wedding ring, signifying that the slave is completely trained and submitted to their dominant and totally committed to their dynamic. I don’t make my clients wear these out of my dungeon but inside they can put it on if they are good enough and they know I own them the second they slip it on.

Collar of protection – A collar of protection is used by dominants who want to show the world that their slave is protected, if is ashamed or has come from an abusive background, a high standing dominant can give this collar to them as a sign of protection and healing. I don’t dish out collars like this but I do enjoy the style of them and I do use them in my dungeon from time to time.

Collar of consideration – I love the style of this collar but it actually signifies a dom ‘considering’ a slave as a potential candidate. Handed to the slave to wear at all times and know that they have caught the eye of the dom. I use mine as a warning, if my slaves have been good they may get to wear this type of collar and be considered to become a full-time slave, but in my dungeon, this often isn’t the case. We enjoy punishment too much.

My Full BDSM Collar Collection

I wanted to show you my full BDSM collar collection, it’s long but it’s worth it, especially if you’re looking for a new collar. I am going to tell you a little about each collar and what type of client I use them on, including which ones I have worn myself. It can be hard remembering which collar goes on who but I am a dominatrix after all and if I slip up and my slave doesn’t say anything, they will be punished.

Stupid Cute BDSM Choker

woman wearing stupid cute bdsm choker

I use this choker on my sissies and on any females that come into my dungeon. For my sissies it provides a subtle humiliation, the pink really compliments them and I love seeing them degraded wearing little pink collars. My sissies love this choker and love when I put it on them, I have actually made one of my clients wear it to work and under their suit, sending me pictures throughout the day. That was a lot of fun. The choker is made from high-quality materials and looks so darling on.

Slut Choker

Although it goes against typical BDSM rules as I am most likely the dom when wearing this collar I do like to wear it as an accessory at times. I use it when I am a switch but I do wear as a dom from time to time. I also use it on my clients when they are being particularly raunchy and asking me to do terrible things to them. If I think they are getting a little bit too needy, the slut choker is firmly in place and they are degraded further.

Slave Silicone Collar

Show the world who is boss with this beautiful slave collar, it looks amazing and it shows evidently who is the slave and who is the boss around here. It’s ideal for parties and for use in the bedroom (or dungeon in my case), it isn’t really meant to have a collar attached to it, it just looks cute and shows the dynamic between slave and master.

My Little Sex Collar

Ideal as a starter collar or as an advanced collar, I think it’s perfect for someone who doesn’t quite know what they want yet. This soft little collar is made from durable leather, soft buttery smooth leather for added internal comfort, it has 12 holes so that you can ensure your sub is comfortable and the collar isn’t too tight and it has the ability to attach almost any lead to it. It’s one of my favorites as it’s so versatile, meant for both men and women and it’s ideal for a client or partner who just doesn’t know where to start with collars.

Cute Sissy Collar

Perfect for my sissies this pink 1¾” wide collar wraps around the neck twice and can be secured with a padlock although it doesn’t need this to be secure, it’s more of an additional accessory feature. It has an O-ring where you can attach a leash and the cute pretty pink material is oh too perfect to not use on a little sissy. It’s a gorgeous collar that offers great potential, you just have to find the right person to use it on.

Day Collar (Eternity Collar)

This is a collar that people can wear day to day or as a symbol of their commitment and love. It’s super soft and velvety and it is secured with velcro for easy removal. It also has the ability to use it with a leash so it isn’t just a fashion accessory. I make my most committed clients wear this out and under their shirts, not taking it off unless to shower and unless I say so. It’s really sexy and looks great on big men on their knees in my dungeon.

Lockable Collar

A classic look with this lockable collar, it oozes old-school bondage and I love it. I use it on my naughtiest submissives who need to be taught a valuable lesson. It looks intense but it is comfortable to wear with breathability, maximum comfort for the submissive and maximum control for the dominant. It’s also vegan despite its rich leather appearance and despite this, it is rigid and firm for total maneuverability and control for the dominant.

Posture Collar

This posture collar is for more strict bondage, restrict your sub from looking from side to side and up and down. They are completely at the mercy of your commands when this posture collar is in place. I like to use it during medical roleplay and even sometimes puppy play however it has been used during spanking and orgasm denial before in my dungeon. It is soft and padded on the inside to help protect the sub and rigid externally for visually pleasing bondage pleasure.

Heart Lock Choker (The Ownership Collar)

This choker symbolizes ownership, you have given your heart to your dominant and you are now well and truly taken by them. It looks really cute with everyday outfits and also when you are in my dungeon, totally nude. I make my female and male clients wear this collar if they are totally submissives who love to be controlled, however, I know some doms will use this choker for its main purpose which is the symbolization of ownership.

What I Like To See Men In

Portraying a bold statement this leather collar bordered with appealing spikes is the ultimate bondage collar. The spikes really are pleasing to the eye mixed with the O-ring this leash really sends a message whether you’re out in public or in my dungeon. Use it during puppy play or just casual BDSM play, it’s a gorgeous collar that gets its fair share of us inside of my dungeon.

The Leash I Always Use (Keeping My Subs in Order)

A good leash is very important it allows you to control your sub with ease and it adds a little something extra to just a ‘normal’ collar. The leather handle gives you a good grip and it’s definitely a sultry twist that’s needed with a leash. The leash itself has a quick-release clip that attaches itself to most collars with an O-ring, the metal leash clangs for audible thrills, the metal really gives the leash a bondage twist and hearing its sharp noises always adds to the experience.

Your Collar Ceremony (your official collaring)

Some people look at collars as how some people look at rings, as a promise, a marriage, a relationship solidifier, collars do that sort of commitment for some people and it’s a big thing.

Low-key collaring: If you want a low-key collaring ceremony, In your home, dress sexy, write your role and what the collar means to you both (maybe have a few collars and meanings), create a little contract, place the collar around your subs neck and secure it in place. It’s a big moment in a dom/sub relationship and should be treated as such.

You can make the ceremony as expressive or as low-key as you like, sometimes a collaring ceremony is between lots of people, there’s a whole event where people dress up and attend and some people keep it small and do it in their own home.
